This Privacy Policy explains how EzGo Qatar ("EzGo", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use:

  • the EzGo Customer mobile application ("Customer App"),
  • the EzGo Driver mobile application ("Driver App"), and
  • the EzGo website and related pages ("Website")

(collectively, the "Services").

If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Services.

A) Account & Identity

  • Phone number, name, profile information you provide
  • Account identifiers and authentication tokens/sessions

B) Driver Documents (Driver App)

We collect and store documents you upload for driver verification, such as:

  • Qatar ID (front/back)
  • Driver's license (front/back)
  • Istimara (front/back)

C) Location Data

  • Customer App: precise location to find nearby drivers, set pickup/dropoff, show your position, estimate arrival time, and complete rides.
  • Driver App: precise location to match you with trips, provide navigation/ETA, verify trip integrity, and support safety features.

Background location: if enabled/required by the Driver App or Customer App permissions, we may collect location while the app is in the background to support ride operations (for example, while a driver is online or during an active trip).

D) Trip & Transaction Data

Pickup/dropoff locations, timestamps, route/trip distance and duration, fare, cancellation fees, and voucher usage (if applicable)

E) Communications

  • Support messages and requests
  • Service notifications (including push notifications where enabled)

F) Device & Technical Data

  • Device model, OS version, app version, language, network information, IP address
  • Diagnostic logs and crash reports

G) Website Data

Basic analytics and security logs; cookies or similar technologies may be used for essential functionality and analytics where applicable.

3. HOW WE USE DATA

We use data to:

  • Provide and operate the Services (accounts, dispatch, trip lifecycle)
  • Match riders and drivers and provide navigation/ETA
  • Calculate fares, apply vouchers, and process wallet/transactions where applicable
  • Verify drivers and review driver documents
  • Provide customer support and communicate service updates
  • Improve safety, prevent fraud/abuse, and enforce policies
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

4. HOW WE SHARE DATA

We may share data with:

A) Riders and Drivers (to complete the ride)

Limited trip-related info (pickup/dropoff, status updates, and during rides, location needed to provide the service)

B) Service Providers

Hosting, databases, messaging/SMS, analytics, and secure file storage providers that help us operate the Services

C) Legal and Safety

Authorities or others where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security

We do not sell your personal data.

5. DATA RETENTION

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including for:

  • account management,
  • safety/fraud prevention,
  • dispute handling,
  • compliance and legal requirements.

Driver verification documents may be retained while a driver account is active and for an additional period as required for compliance and enforcement, then securely deleted where feasible.

6. SECURITY

We use safeguards designed to protect personal data (including access controls and secure storage). No system is completely secure; please protect your device and account credentials.

7. YOUR CHOICES

  • You can manage app permissions (location, notifications) through device settings.
  • If you disable location permissions, core functionality (finding drivers, receiving trips, trip tracking) may not work.

8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Your data may be processed outside Qatar by service providers that help us operate the Services. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by other means.
